Welcome to the Creative Clyde blog
October 10, 2013
Hello and welcome to the Creative Clyde blog. We’ve had this up our sleeve for a little while and it has been built with you in mind.
We aim to keep you informed and (hopefully) entertained while you catch up with the latest happenings on your morning commute, lunch breaks, that all-important 3pm cuppa…or whenever suits you.
Given the fantastic work the creative community in Glasgow have been contributing to the Scottish economy, we’re keen to have a spot on our site to showcase just that.
From The Glasgow Boys to Grand Theft Auto, the Scottish creative industry has been blossoming for years, especially within Glasgow and the central belt, which has grown to become a prosperous hive of creative goodness.
And that’s where we come in. Based on the waterfront in Glasgow, we’re a business hub providing office space across the city, and giving you access to a community of creative minds for you to collaborate with.
We house a plethora of creative minds and resources within our various clusters, including the likes of BBC Scotland, Channel 4, Rage Music, Glasgow School of Art, Capital Radio, Glasgow Chamber of Commerce, The SECC and of course Glasgow’s newest architectural marvel, the SSE Hydro.
With this in mind, we thought to ourselves, what better way to showcase and shout about our own spacious state-of-the-art clusters as well as the brilliant media, technology and creatively-minded organisations working from within them? And that’s where the blog comes in!
We’ll be using this blog to post industry related news, share commentary and opinion pieces from the community, and every so often we’ll even throw in the odd nugget of advice for good measure.
In addition to our very own team of writers, you’ll also hear from our guest bloggers featuring creative minds from in and around Glasgow.
So, be sure to subscribe to keep up-to-date with the tales from the community and to stay in the know with all things creative in Glasgow.
If you’re a creative boffin and have something in mind that you’d like to share with the Creative Clyde community, get in touch and it could be on the blog in no time. Enjoy!
Oh, and feel free to leave any suggestions you might have for the blog and any topics you’d like to see covered here. Simply pop them in the comments section below.
